how much are they giving the kids (joke) - that is a lot of wine and surely not sustainable
 
I cleared out our "wine cellar" (an old fridge in our garage) because I actually need it for food hoarding right now. I was shocked at how many bottles hubby had been putting away in there over the years. If I only liked red wine that much, we'd be okay until at least July, at a bottle a day between us. That's not even counting the gin, whiskey etc in the house. Still the urge to order more supplies is quite high.

I know it's a lot. These are well educated, highly functioning people. As I said, I was shocked.

That's FOMO. It has to be controlled. Or you will end up like me with 25 years supply!
 
Finally I can say "told you so" to my wife who has been at me for years about needing 1200+ bottles in the cellar! Given where the world is at I won't be buying any more while for a while. We are likely headed for a recession if not depression. I have clients who's businesses won't recover from 2 months of lockdown.

Watch your cash people.

I had Langmeil pegged as one of the wineries we planned to visit in may. Obviously the trip isn’t going ahead. Maybe I should bring the Barossa to me.
