Not directly, no.

Although the eHealth initiative is of some interest given where I normally play (work?).

I see. Our retreival teams' workload just went up by a great deal. They are now activated to any P1 trauma cases withina 15km radius of the Bankstown base, by road. So I can see much less helicopter time happening for them.

If that's you, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Surely road response within 15km is much quicker than primary activation of the helicopter?

Even HEMS in London uses sedans at night when the traffic is lighter.

Heck just bring the free pills the salespeople give you. Now if you were the accompanying medicos on an F lounge run you might even get some work. Do you all take Amex (without surcharge!).

I'm not a medical person, but have always had an interest in the field given my insurance background (who else would have Evelyn Pearces' Anatomy and Physiology for Nurses as well as Ballieres' Nurses Dictionary in their bookcase as work resources?)

A trauma conference would make sense although I probably wouldn't want to take extra time off for a conference.

I could speak to a potential sponsor when the time comes around if necessary (I have one in mind, not a drug or device company).

Also, I know there are a few medical people on here who don't like to acknowledge that on the internet, so if there is someone taking the lead in organising then it may be worth publicising your username so the doctors lurking here can direct-message you an RSVP and thus keep their medicalness (medicality??) a secret.
