Solid work to get it done in 10 years. It will take me far longer 10SCs at a time.... ~30 years last time I coughtail napkin-ed it. *sigh* Congratulations and enjoy the perks. Tryin' Bingham salutes you.
That was the one. You're spot on. An SC bonus on top of the points, or a choice bw points or SCs. I recall it being a card with the usual mid-tier annual fees ($250-450) not the Titanium slap of $1000+
Searching now, I think this offer is ancient history. The QF Premier Titanium card gives 20% bonus SCs - however the $1200 fee is multiples of your flight to ADL.
Outside the box thought - I recall seeing a cc offer that awarded SCs. 50 from memory. It would appear that you have enough time to satisfy that qualification - there was a minimum spend and 'allow for X weeks' to credit your account clause.
Otherwise I second all the others. A short jaunt...
I also realise that Qantas explicitly states that these tags do not contain, or hold, any personal information.... so perhaps I'm overthinking, yet prefer to err on the side of safety.
They are rather 'retro' in nature. Circa 2011, with certificates of provenance. I believe that there have been two or three iterations and design changes since these.
Hello AFFers, has anyone found a responsible (environmentally and security wise) way to dispose of, or recycle, Qantas E-bag tags?
I have several of these. It’s a shame that the rubber on them has broken down and turned to a sticky, gooey mess. The tags are a wonderful idea and have always...
Does DSC promotions actually add to LT status accrual? I often note that the status bonus (500SC) is not triggered by promotional status credits - only the hard earned flown ones on the original booking class.
Happy to be proven wrong.
I've flown in and out of there personally. It's a wild ride, buzzing very close to mountain tops, through cloud, mist and all manner of turbulence and pressure fluctuations. The majority of the pilots that make those runs have my most esteemed respect.
I find the QF ones tend to shrink quite badly too. Forget about drying them. The new issues (with blue print) tend to not turn into a midriff so quickly....I'm never short of soft car polishing cloths however. #itcanbehardbeing6'4"
G'day Serfty,
You are correct. My apologies, there was an error in my search comparison. In deeper review, the flight SYD-DFW was being compared to SYD-DFW-HOU, explaining the extra status credits.
Thanks for pulling me up.
Onwards and upwards.
I've been fortunate to have a few celeb shared journeys.
1. Jeff Goldblum - LAX - demanding a priority pass to avoid the security lines. Pulling the old 'haven't you seen The Fly? What about Jurassic Park?'...
2. Nicole Ritchie and a pair of very well behaved children in J class, LAX-SYD...
Happy new Financial Year all!
Doing some trip planning last week, and again this week, it would appear with the turning of a new FY, July 1 brought reduced SCs for QF flights.
I recall there being some changes discussed back in January.... was anyone else aware of a reduction in SC earnings...
Hi Juddles,
I think you make an important point - 'the staff were great at handling this'. The QF staff really are quite exceptional. FWIW, I've had IFE systems down a couple of times over the last year, the most recent being a J class flight LAX-SYD in late February. No compo, no suggestion...
If your ticket is routed through on the one booking, as I understand (and have experienced), you shall receive the highest allowance (International figure) for your class of travel and/or status, for the entire ticketed journey through to your destination on the initial leg - I.e the same...
