What do you do with the amenity kit?

Let's be honest, you don't get much in a kit these days compared to the 1980's. I flew Both First and Biz in the late 80's and the kits were jam packed with goodies, perfumes, lip balms etc. Now you get a bag with a pen, pair of cheap socks, ear bud things and toothbrush. Almost the same as...

Qantas Domestic Lounges from 15/06/23 Guests Must be Travelling on Qantas/Partner Airline

Can I be honest ? Good, the business lounge in Sydney during the school holidays is a joke, kids running a-muck, parents not controlling them, every man and his dog in there. I regularly use the Gold lounge as it a lot quieter

$10 increase on Passenger Movement Charge to $70 from 1 July 2024

Now the Federal government is putting a tax on fresh food farmers to pay for bio-security. That begs the question, why there's a $10 increase in PDT. I smell something fishy and its not fish

$10 increase on Passenger Movement Charge to $70 from 1 July 2024

I wonder if the Politicians will have to pay? AirMiles Albo could have paid off our national dept by now and Penny Wong could have put us in surplus. Who am I kidding, of course they won't pay, we always pay it for them.

Article: Long-Haul Economy Class - A Valuable Reality Check

For some reason, Bose headsets DON'T block screaming babies. The crew did little to help or from what I could see. My flight over was with EK, the WORST flight of my life, over 6 hour delay out of Brisbane, missed my connection to Oslo then put up in a cough hotel overnight, the bed was...

Qantas to Remove Domestic Boarding Pass Printing from Kiosks

I'm flying from the Sunshine Coast Airport soon back to work in Broome, they still use "old school" checkin procedures, god I love it. Qantas to Remove Domestic Boarding Pass Printing from Kiosks

I think some people are missing the point. Qantas are now mandating you too carry a smart phone and be tech savvy. These apps at best a moderately easy to use for an older person and in some cases down right impossible. Often a younger relative would have made the booking for an older family...

    Robbed by Scoot

If you have all your correspondence and you believe you are right then take Scoot to the small claims court here in Oz. I did this with Emirates about 5 years ago and won hands down, Pop into the courts and have a chat with them, they were very helpful and free advice

    Shocker of a flight

A few years ago I was traveling back from Norway via London Heathrow back to Brisbane via Hong Kong with Cathay. I was gold with Qantas so I had access to the Cathay lounge. I arrived at the lounge and found it almost empty. An elderly couple in a corner and 5-6 young bankers having a great...

For QF and VA - a LATAM solution to boarding that WORKS!!

I flew from Sydney to Perth yesterday and was number 2 in the Premium queue (Plat). A member of the cabin crew came out to start boarding the pax starting with the Premium queue, all good so far then the first person in then in premium queue asked why the premium queue had priority. (Only one...

    Man-spreading

A few years ago I flew from Aberdeen ABZ to Frankfurt for work. Once airborne, the man behind stretched out and had his feet well and truely in my foot area which meant I did the 2+ hour flight with my feet all the way forward, it got very uncomfortable after a while. I tried standing on his...

    International Airports- Best and Worst.

Just remembered, Boracay was hands down the worst, from checkin to boarding, it's all about ripping the pax off, HATED IT. Warsaw was a great airport, the Emirates Lounge was fun, tomato juice and Vodka, plenty of it !!

    International Airports- Best and Worst.

For me the worst Airport is Melbourne, dirty, badly laid out, and drab. I HATE every minute in it. The Qantas lounge in both Domestic and especially international are awful. I don't mind Sydney airport and prefer Perth over Mel now Perth has had a bit of a make over.
