ANZ Travel Card

Hello all,

Given the pessimistic forecasts of the AUD for the next few months, is it worth locking the exchange rate with the ANZ Travel card? I will be travelling in Asia for 3 months so I guess I will lock it in with $US. Is this a good idea? Because I know I will be losing a bit on the conversion from AUD to US then from US to whatever Asian currency I will be using.

It might go down, it might go up.... there are widely differing views.

Seriously, if you're worried about it going down, try and prebook some hotels on expedia and pay now. Your cash component is probably not a big part of your holiday spend and you could always put the cash in a nice deposit account for a bit.
