BYOJet credit voucher instead of refund

Today I've received an email message from BYOJet with a credit voucher. I requested a refund. The email says the voucher is valid until 31 December 2021, and a refund will be issued after that date if I wish! Like Hell. Will they even exist in 18 months time?

Of course, there are not contact details for me to get back to them and tell them what I think of them...

Not suggesting you don’t pursue the refund if you believe you’re eligible, but just an FYI, they are a Flight Centre brand so would have a lot of confidence they won’t fold. It may be of more concern which airline the credit is with.

The airline is Etihad.
STA Travel has gone bust.

As I said, I wasn't telling you what to do or not do, just giving you the facts. And in all likelihood, it could be the policy of Etihad's, not Flight Centre/BYOJet.

Once again, what you do is your choice. My point was just that BYOJet is very unlikely to fold and that it's probably Etihad's policy. This may help with your approach under ACL.

I am very confident it is BYOJet.
