Can you redeem Etihad Guest for Unaccompanied Minor on VA?

Hi,

I called EG call centre a couple of days ago and asked if I could redeem points for a domestic flight on VA for my son travelling alone.

The woman I spoke to was not confident with her answer of "No" and put me on hold a couple of times.

I ended up using Qantas points instead but it would be good to know if anyone has any experience with this for future reference.

I think it would depend on what VA's own policy is. Considering that bookings involving unaccompanied minors on VA flights must be made by calling the VA Guest Contact Centre, and that you can't redeem EY miles through VA's call centre, I'm going to guess that the answer to that is no.
