Combined Jetstar / QF booking - what's the risk?

Hi there,

I'm looking to fly MNL-SIN-BNE, booked as a QF classic reward.

MNL-SIN would be on Jetstar Asia. WIll QF look after me if the JQ flight ends up being delayed cancelled and impact my connection? I would think so since they issue the ticket but then I know the reality might be different.
