Do you get status points on reward flight bookings?

Sorry if this has recently been asked but when i searched online i got no clarity from the virgin website, and the results in this forum were from 2013 or earlier.

I've booked a business class seat via reward points. Do I earn any status points on this booking?

Aside from a promotion half a decade ago, there is no SC earn on business reward flights. These book into Z class.

If you use a humongous amount of points on an "Any Seat" award you may earn.

Reward redemption bookings do not give any status nor frequent flyer Points

The only way really to get points with using points is The anytime fares which are never really the best use of points
