FINNAIR currently have a sale on - including ex Hong Kong & Singapore Cheap flights and flight tickets. Special is on until 8 January 2018 and covers flights during 16 January–27 March 2018 and 5 April–30 June 2018.
As an example, the fare for the "same" trip I booked during the "special" last year -Sin/Hel/Dublin return for two in J - is about Sin$6,800 compared to the Sin$5,600 I paid for my trip.
I have already booked a trip to Spain next year during the recent QATAR "companion fare" sale so a no-go for me.
EDIT: There is still the strange pricing that it is cheaper to fly to Dublin, via Helsinki and with a stopover, than it is to terminate in Helsinki - by about S$500 each.
