JL terminates SIN-KUL-SIN services

I know some on AFF use JL in conjunction with QF to get to/from KUL via SIN. As far as I can work out the last day of operation of this service will be 16 Jan. From this date JL have axed the KIX-SIN-KUL and KUL-SIN-KIX services. So the SIN-KUL-SIN services are no more.

The reason I know is that I was booked SIN-KUL in April as the final leg of a OW RTW award that commenced in KUL- they were going to transfer me to Jetstar (but as I was not going to take the flight anyway I said not to bother)

That is a shame. I have taken the JL721/722 about 4 times each. I guess it will be back to MH next time.

Hmmm, this concerned me somewhat.

I have currently booked a JL metal (QF Codeshare) service SIN-NRT for October with a LONE4 - intention being to vary the date to March nest year. The KUL JL service is an extension of one of these SIN flights. Of course if the flight was cancelled then I'm looking for options - no worries about a SIN-NRT service, but the QF flight number earns us more QFF Points. (11600 against 3300)

However, on checking, the flight cancelled is a KIX service, currently operating KIX-SIN-KUL vv.
