JQ - Allocated seats

Not sure if this is on another thread, but I noticed in todays telegraph that JQ have allocated seats as of 29th October 2006.

IMHO, this was quite a large downside to travelling JQ, now all they need to do is offer even discounted SC and points to QF FF's, on their discounted fares..... but I can't see this happening.
