Passengers intending to fly with Indian airline Kingfisher over the coming days will have to revise their travel plans.
Employee unrest, a result of staff being unpaid for many months, has forced Kingfisher management to suspend all flight operations until next Thursday at the earliest.
The decision came shortly after Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh told the airline that it would not be allowed to operate if safety rules were not being observed.

Not surprising that eventually the staff refuse to work if they don't get paid (repeatedly)....

As a (very) casual observer, it seems that this is a sinking ship, and the debate in India has become should/shouldn't it be bailed out (as Air India frequently is).

The head of the kingfisher group seems to spend a lot of time on F1 and not enough running his airline.

Its a big test for Indian big business, I'd love o know what those more familiar with Indian business think their prospect of recover /vsuevivability is....?
