After being a regular reader for quite some time, I have finally decided to participate a little more actively.

I am very much a base status level frequent flyer, and have been guilty of spreading the love around a little:

• Velocity (hoping to hit silver)
• Qantas
• Air New Zealand
• Krisflyer
• Malaysia Enrich (Silver - but only as a freebie through an Altitude Rewards redemption)
• Aegean (should have been blue/Star Silver but they refuse to credit TAP Portugal flights that were eligible)
• US Airways (have helped others to do business trips on purchased miles and have purchased my own, but waiting for the right time to use them)
• American AAdvantage (also purchased miles)

Despite the lack of status, over the years I have had redemption flights out of four of the programs so it has not been without reward.
