Redeeming asia miles flight but using Qantas Gold status for benefits

Hi everyone,

Im a Qantas Gold member, and looking to redeem some of my asia miles for a flight. I dont have status with Cathay.
Just wondering if its possible to use my Qantas Gold benefits on these asia miles flights with JAL, so I can have extra baggage allowance and lounge access?

You'll have benefits as per Oneworld Sapphire status including lounge access and luggage allowance.
