SYD or NTL/BNE to JFK, returning via Montreal. Economy Class. December 2019. 5 Passengers.

Hi all,

I am seeking an economy class flight to New York City for 5 adult passengers departing Sydney or Newcastle/Brisbane in mid December 2019. We plan to spend 1 week in NYC then require flights to Montreal and we will then make our own way to Quebec City. We will spend 1 week in Quebec City before flying back to Sydney or Brisbane/Newcastle.

I prefer flying on QF or oneWorld airlines. Don't particularly want to fly via LAX. Looking at minimising cost, and don't mind multiple stop-overs.

1 ticket will be paid for, looking at rewards for the remainder

Looking for good routing options.

At least you are looking >365 days out.
Id simply be looking for availability that is released each day to get a sense.

Assume we are talking Y given otherwise getting 4 reward seats will be difficult, but you are still looking at a school holiday period.

Obvious choice would be QF SYD-DFW which avoids LAX and is a larger aircraft. Also consider SYD-SFO

I am interested in hearing some routing options

Particularly the trip back home to SYD or BNE/NTL. We will be in Quebec City so interested to hear if we should drive back to Montreal to depart or could go from Quebec City home

I am in Quebec city next September. The routing I have chosen for the trip home using AC and NZ, (NZ because it was over 3K cheaper than QF). Journey is YQB-YYZ-LAX-AKL-BNE. Overnight stop over in YYZ & LAX just to break the trip up
