UK Cruise Booking Agent

I'm looking at another Cunard cruise. With the AUD so strong against the GBP I'm wondering if anyone has used a reputable cruise booking agent based in the UK? It would be interesting to see if the cruise price purchased in GBP would convert to a better price than that currently offered on the Cunard site in AUD.

One thing to be aware of is that with some cruise lines (I think Cunard included) have rules which may prohibit you from booking the cruise using a UK agent unless you have UK/European address, essentially forcing your hand into paying a higher price for the same cruise via an Australian TA. You'll probably find some more info cruise critic, but essentially Australians are particularly screwed on the price of cruises. It's the same if you find some cruises via a US TA, many cruise lines won't let the TA book you unless you have a US residential address. Of course if this is the case you could just find a forwarding address to use in either of these countries.

I would use a US Travel Agent as their cancellation refunds are excellent. Not so UK and AUS. Cunard and Celebrity allow Aussie cruisers to book with a US Agent but Princess wont.

Does anyone know if I can book Oceania cruises via a us travel agent ?
if so , has anyone used anyone reputable in the us ?

On Pushka's recommendation I successfully used vacations to go and they were fine, but it was more worthwhile when the exchange rate was better.

Have enquired recently with them, and they have responded by saying they are not permtted by Viking to sell the cruises they are offering on their US site. As someone else has remarked on this thread, Aussie Cruisers are being ripped off by local operators.

They can sell Royal Caribbean to Aussies though.

I have just booked a Celebrity cruise from Southampton to the Baltic and return using seascanner. I have used them twice before. It was A$550 cheaper than vacations to go, A$800 cheaper than the Australian Celebrity website and A$1000 than my usual b&m travel agent. All these differences are per person for a balcony cabin.

Yes - its all about doing the price comparisons. And if cancellation fees are refundable or not. If the currency works in your favour then international TA's are the way to go.
