Use of Qatar miles (points)

We will be flying Qatar out of Adelaide to Zurich and return from Barcelona in March/April, 2017. I am a member of Qantas Club and frequent flyer and have also registered as a Qatar Privilege member. Can some one please advise how I can best utilise any benefits obtained from the Qatar flights without having to use them towards future Qatar flights. Is there anyway they can be transferred into Qantas points?

If they are booked into eligible booking classes then you can provide your QFF number and the flights will accrue to your Qantas account.

You can't transfer points between QR and QF's FFP's.

Check to see if your fare class on QR is eligible for any QF earn. If so do what JohnK has suggested.

If not you have a choice of
a) transferring Qmiles to Accor if:Conversion of Qmiles
b) you could set up an American Airlines account and earn with AA then buy AA miles during a promo to top up to an award flight - good use between NZ and Oz.

Qmiles etc have a hard expiry of 3yrs: extend and revalidate
