Using fuel cards with EDR card

I have spent the last 12 months or so berating WW group for sending me fuel offers. I have a fuel card so they are no use to me... or so I thought.

I have recently bought a new car and the two fuel cards arrived in the mail last week - Caltex and Motorpass. (Last car it was BP and Motorpass). I went and filled up at Caltex/WW and asked if my EDR card could be scanned when I use the Caltex card. "No it can't", was the not un-expected reply. "However you can scan it with Motorpass or Motorcharge cards to get the discount or points".

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, EDR, please start sending me all those fuel offers I sent you feedback about saying I couldn't use!

Because now I know that I can.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes, as long as it is not a Caltex card.

The woolworths branded petrol stations near me don't take Fleetcard.

Any update on this? I have a Shell, BP and a Caltex Card. At present I flash Fly Buys with Shell, but no EDR and Virgin with BP next year is to be seen.

No good - Caltex Card will say no. That said, I'd love to see whether the POS actually stopped you.

I have a Caltex and a Motorpass card. When I buy fuel at Caltex and want to use my MyerOne card, the operator always makes sure I swipe the Motorpass card instead of the Caltex card.

As a motorpass holder I routinely purchase my fuel from woolworths as they allow fuel discounts. Lost count of the number of shell discount vouchers i've thrown away in the past couple of years, really wish I could use them in conjunction with my motorpass.

In Melbourne there's about half a dozen woolworths petrol stations that will also give myer one points (as well as the fuel discount and accept motorpass), so I try to fill up there whenever I have the chance. Though unfortunately none of them are local to me

Phooey, one of my regular woolworths caltexes, which take motorpass, myer one and fuel discount dockets, have now become a caltex starmart and no longer accepting of discounts.
I hope this isn't a trend across the board.

There's only 1 servo i go to semi-regularly that will still take the trifecter
