Zurich hotels

Any recommendations for Zurich hotels? The gentleman and I are going to be there just after Christmas for a few days and I'm interested if anyone has any preferred hotels. Central is a must have, happy to spend $$$ if the hotel is good (taking into account the fact that Switzerland seems frightfully expensive full stop). Thanks
