Did some number crunching for my next flight, as a fairly regular DXB-xx-BNE traveller. Interested to see what the $$$ and SCs would be under the new regime. Don't think I would shift from QFF.
RedRoo, clarification sought. The East Coast Aust - Dubai table line shows a line of - - - - - for SC earn. Just wondering whether this is because you don't know of any OW Partner flights from East Coast to DXB, or because Partner itineraries between East Coast AU and DXB are a SC black hole.

. SC calcs below based on assuming the former but suspect the latter. This is one of a number of things that are ambiguous under your wretched 'simple' tables.
CX the cheapest J fare at AED 10695 (about $3300). Very nice. Guessing the partner earn table refers to sectors not itineraries the SC earn on a return flight would drop from 480 to 360. This would have me requal WP in 4 flights. Still better value than Marco Polo where I would need to do six returns to qualify as diamond.
MH a little more at AED 12654. Inferior product to CX, same SCs. Pass.
QR plenty more at AED 18035. Pretty steep. Routing DWC-DOH-PER-BNE and books into F DWC-DOH and QF PER-BNE. Better for SCs though at 460 for the round trip.
QF. Ah, dear old QF. They want AED 20735 to credit 180 SCs with a cabin that isn't a patch on CX. Still the loser in this comparo.
Also have constructed a spreadsheet that compares the old/new SC earning rates for flights other than the specific anomalies listed elsewhere in the table, with a few ex BNE under some of these rules to illustrate how they work.
Mostly the reductions in SCs are relatively small, other than the anomalies which others have pointed out (such as 50% reduction BNE-HKG) and any flights over 7000 miles, given the lower level at which SCs max out under the new regime.
For partner airline lights there is one sweet spot between 3,500-3,600 miles at which you earn 20% more SCs under the new table. Anyone know of any sectors in that band?
Cheers skip
Haha 6.30 in the morning in AU and 55 punters trawling this thread already. The numbers never went below about 18 all night
