Qantas SYD F lounge access: inbound passenger in transit

I am flying into Sydney with EK in F. I then have a 2 hour wait for my connecting flight to ZQN (with Qantas in Y).

Does anyone know if I will be able to access the Qantas F lounge in SYD whilst I wait for my connecting flight to NZ?

All flights were booked on the same ticket (Sold as an EK ticket).

I suspect not on face value, QF F -QF Y yes, OW F - QF Y yes but EK coded F - Qf Y no the way I read it. But could wrong, let us know how you go.

Thanks for the replies cmon0005 and opusman, I will give it a crack and report back. Worst case, EK lounge in SYD is still a respectable place to hang out for a while......

Well, I made it in without any drama's, the lounge is packed this morning. I showed by F boarding pass from EK (flight I just arrived on). They did not ask to see the boarding pass for my outbound flight. The fact that the lounge is packed and all staff are busy may have assisted me. Now, to enjoy breakfast......

That is excellent news! I doubted they would but obviously its allowed based on your experience , Enjoy your breakfast! Any Spa bookings were available?

Breakfast was very enjoyable. I didn't ask about the spa bookings as I only had 45 minutes in the lounge before my flight to ZQN. There were a number of Wallabies in the lounger having a bite to eat.

The reason I say that is they would have scanned the BP and it computer must have said Yes in this scenario, so as long as the computer gets to make the decisions in the future for this scenario then everybody should be fine
Or am I being too optimistic?
