IHG 40k Book Direct Promo - 2017

I contacted the online support section, and the IHG rep. gave me the link to sign up.
I specifically asked if this link would get me into trouble. She said no, it will be ok.
I successfully registered, so I hope all goes well.
My next stays are in Japan early May.

Whilst it appears from OzEire's post that the Accelerate Q2 and Book Direct promos can be piggybacked, YMMV. I'm happy with 3 stays in the remainder of 2017 for 40K points, because that's achievable for me. I haven't bothered stacking as there is no perceived benefit for my low number of stays and a lot of potential downside.

Pardon!! Is there a Q2 accelerate out? I've seen nothing about it.

I'm just finishing this promo today. I've done HI POM, CP POM and last night HIX POM. I'm thinking that should give me the bonus points. I'd love to know about a Q2 Accelerate before checkout today!

I don't think so. They seem to have split into regional offers for Q2 - or at least there is one for folk in the Americas. Not sure if we get one for our little part of the world.

Mine was the last days of Accelerate Q1, I stacked the "Stay Once" offer, the only one I completed in Q1 as I no longer value IHG points highly. On this occasion the stars aligned for over 14k points on a $139 booking at the newly opened very tidy HIX in Brisbane.

I wasn't going to post 'the link', just incase it doesn't work, or there is a consequence of using it.

I was simply saying, that if you click onto the 'help' section of the website, and go to the online 'chat' with an IHG Rep. section, you can do as I did, and get the link sent to you.

I printed out the conversation, so I have it in 'writing', that the IHG Rep. GAVE IT TO ME, and I didn't use it 'unauthorised'.

Also, when logged in, the MY OFFERS section shows this promo as: OTA Book Direct 2017 - 1st. Stay

It details the currency of ( the date I signed up ) through to 31st. December 2017.

It also uses that select wording of: "You need 1 stays for the next award". "You have earned 0 of 1 possible awards".

I think you'll be disappointed. Q1 opened and closed. If you're waiting for a Q2, then then oz_mark's post above seems to cover that pretty well I think!

Well I'm confused. I've stayed a total of 4 nights, 4 stays and in 3 different IHG brand hotels since registering and what I've been awarded is not exactly what I thought I'd get. Any clues? (all bookings were made via the IHG web site)

I didn't receive the 1000 points for registering, I received 5000 on my first stay, and just received 9000 for my second stay. I should receive the 15000 for my third stay in the next few days when it posts... and then your guess is as good as mine when the final bonus comes in. I too see the words "DO NOT REGISTER" on the second booking.

Allow 4-6 weeks for the sign-up bonus (1000 pts) to be posted. The others, i think, are the correct value, but posted in the order that IHG have received the info from the the properties, not in the order you stayed, and the last one was a non qual so no points for that one

The last one (which was actually the 2nd one) was no different a booking to the others. I'll ring them over that one as I believe it should be a qualifying stay and a point earner, but how odd is the terminology... qualifying stays - 2, points earned 14000!!! from the same site at the same time, yet it seems the stay history has registered the third stay but the award page has not. It also states I've earned 1 of 1 possible awards and that I've successfully completed this award, but I'm yet to see 11000 points! What the heck DO NOT REGISTER means is anyone's guess!

Someone in the IT department needs a new job, surely it can't be that hard to do a couple of lines of codes correctly. Seems to be an error with the posting of the last one if it was booked the same way as the others swanning_it. Agree with eric2011, seems the posting order is never as we would think it should happen. Give them a call, or Twitter and/or Facebook seems to get results.

I think in your particular case, because everything happened over a very short period of time you have simply "baffled the IHG system" with overload and different things are happening out of order. If I may suggest just waiting a few days and let the various sections of the system catch up with each other.
As for the DO NOT REGISTER.....who knows
