Vietnam Airlines to join Skyteam or OneWorld?

There has been alot of talks about Vietnam Airlines in joining in an airline alliance with some saying that Vietnam Airlines in talks with Skyteam as a full member by next year & JAL saying it has expressed intrest for Vietnam Airlines to join OneWorld. > I'm Confused!

I'd imagine JL would love to help VN join OW by swallowing it whole! The Japanese market is mature, but the Vietnamese market is only now starting to grow with a burgeoning middle-class. It's ripe for the picking! Now all that remains to be seen is just how purist the communist government is.

Well if you mean pure in the socialist sense,then not at all.

Uh huh... I'm sure any suitor for VN would need to ensure everyone was "happy" for the deal to go ahead.

I so too think that Vietnam Airlines should be apart of Oneworld! Let's just hope who ever buys VN's 20-30% of shares is apart of an alliance! All to do now is to wait & see what happens!
