upgrade to gold qantas FF

Hey all,
I woke up this morning and have been upgraded to Gold FF from silver... anyone know why (definitely don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth though!). I did book several flights last night- was there a promotion I didn’t know about?

Very unlikely that QF would just gift you status.

Weird right? Maybe a mistake that they will revoke... I don’t think that it relates to a status offer as I am showing tha I only have 519 SC (as you can see in the photo)

Hmmm ... it's that weirding time of the Qantas Month for those whose QFF "year" has just finished.

Wait a couple of days and look again. If it's still SG then congratulations.

I would look at the FF activity statement to see if it says anything unusual.

Did you recently take flights that would have given you enough Status Credits?

My gold status has sadly disappeared . It only lasted one day, so my wishful thinking that it would stuck around was in vein I only had 519 SC so was way off gold. Weird glitch though!

No I hadn’t! It was a weird glitch that has sadly since been removed...
