The Suriplaza in the Atacama, far NE Chile.



It's pretty from space. It's remote. The road in can be seen just below right of the label.



It was a leisure trip and I had ordered a 4WD from Hertz. They gave me one still tagged up from a mine site. In contrast to Australia where mine light vehicles are white, in Chile they seem to be universally that shade of red.



And, of course, I was at 5001m , gasping for breath along with the vehicle.
