Industrial action at SYD train stations?

Obviously conflicting advice being given re tapping on & off. This is 1 article I saw-we will be using next weekDoes anyone know if the ticket barriers at SYD Domestic train station are open this weekend (Aug 13-14) as a result of the industrial action?
It’ll save me $17 dollars if they’re open.
