My preference is Sydney Rock oysters rather than Pacific oysters. I find Pacific oysters TOO rich and creamy for my liking.Rinse, repeat
Some of the best oysters I've ever had

We had Coffin Bay oysters at Christmas - they were very very minerally. Much prefer the local Merimbula ones which are smaller as well.My preference is Sydney Rock oysters rather than Pacific oysters. I find Pacific oysters TOO rich and creamy for my liking.
Personal choice and I am with you. I find Pacific oysters "fatty". Love SROs straight from the shell. My preference is Sydney Rock oysters rather than Pacific oysters. I find Pacific oysters TOO rich and creamy for my liking.

A friend, a stock trader in AMS, won a shucking competition narrowly beating an AMS restaurateur. It only added to his ego.Shucking is one my fortes!
But jeepers they were expensive for Christmas this year…
Love a pool in the bush, no neighbours, no pool fence, music as loud as you like, skinny (chunky) dunking. All happens at my pool.View attachment 313258
Newly installed pool at the farm (base of the Cathedral Range in Vic) just in time for Xmas. Kids couldn’t wait for the decking and fencing. Don’t blame them.

Didn't realise the Belfast was still there. Last onboard it there in 1974.The view from last night's office, quite a few people out and about and still feeling very Christmassy. A nice dinner at The Ivy (Tower Bridge

1975 for us. My wife's cousin was in the RN for a few years and was actually 'posted' to her for a short time. I think that the RN used to provide some support for the ship way back then. He said that it was a great posting. Minimal work, he was an electrician, with 'Free' accommodation and central London just a few steps away.Didn't realise the Belfast was still there. Not surprised, KWI is a pretty boring place to visit as a tourist!View from my current hotel room in Kuwait.

The receptionist was super friendly and said that in the five months he’d been working here, I’m the first tourist he’s met!
