A Dummies Guide to Points

Hi AFF community - friends and family keep getting 'tricked' by how to use points, so I created this guide for them to refer to --- I welcome your thoughts! (I haven't ever posted an attachment like this before, so Mods, please let me know if I need to modify anything)

While I believe this is a good resource, the problem i find is that you need a very simple TL;dr. If someone can get through this document, they'd be able to get through the numerous guides out there about points, valuation and rewards.

For the people that can't get their heads around it or don't have the time, you need a 1 page simplified version that takes a couple mins to get through at most. You can put links for those that want more information.

Thanks - my intent was to try and distill the key lessons I'd learnt that someone who was interested in points and wanted to learn how how to set themselves up to be effective, but didn't want to become too engrossed, could use as an initial guide. You could probably distill it to one page, although probably, this should be 3 small separate guides!

My opinion on this is earning points is not simple and that from my experience that anyone who wants a simplistic explanation (and there have been many) of points earning is never going to succeed. If three pages is too much for you this isn’t the game for you!
