SIN Lounge access on SQ redemption flight for Velocity Gold?

Can anyone advise if I should expect to have KrisFlyer lounge access in Singapore on a SQ redemption flight as Velocity Gold status?

I’m looking to redeem flights directly with SQ, but because of this, I can’t attach my velocity FF number at the booking page - will I still have lounge access by being Velocity gold? Do I just need to show my gold card? Or am I missing something?

Bonus points if you can tell me whether the KrisFlyer lounges are decent for a day of remote working (potentially a few teams calls required)

Once you make the booking you should be able to go into manage the booking and add Velocity frequent flyer number although I'm not sure you can do that on an award flight. I've just done that for SQ revenue flights in September for wife, daughter and myself.

But even if you cannot add Velocity frequent flyer number you should be able to use lounge if you show membership card or quote your number.

I think it's possible to work from lounge if you go to the area past the food and to the right. It should be quieter there but not sure how loud your meetings are going to be and how others are going to be affected.

What class airfare are you travelling in

If travelling in Y you are entitled to SQ lounge access on the basis of VA Gold. In SIN it will be Krisflyer Gold. Elsewhere it will be the SilverKris lounge.

Note the "Gold" in KrisFlyer is not as good as the "Silver" in SilverKris.

If travelling in J then SilverKris everywhere incl SIN (VA gold meaningless in this setting)
if travelling in F then SilverKris everywhere except in SIN where it will be The Private Room (VA gold meaningless in this setting)

Yes, but you will need to show your card at check in all likelihood.

SQ make it almost impossible to enter an non SilverKris frequent flyer number into a Krisflyer award booking.

I have tried things like booking as a redemption nominee from SWMBO's account, calling up, using assistance email. No go.

You either can have a KrisFlyer number or nothing until check in or the lounge.

As for lounge, you can use the KrisFlyer Gold lounges in SIN. My advice is if you have time, use the one in T3 and give T2's a complete miss.

Have had issues having Gold virgin recognised internationally previously (pre-Covid when that was actually more of a perk!) by lounge/ground staff

Had a similar issue (booked a Y cash ticket while logged in to SQ and KF # was stuck in reservation) but was all resolved at check-in.

Anyone have success adding a FF number after a booking has been made? Tried to put my wife's VA number in using the SQ website, received a confirmation email but when I look at the booking there doesn't appear to be any FF number attached. Our USA contact details don't seem to have saved...

I can't stress enough @serfty 's advice to use the KF Gold lounge in T3, not T2. The T3 KFG lounge is now excellent after the renovations.

To be honest I've never had to show a Virgin FF card in an SQ lounge anywhere. Most times the number is in booking but last time had issues with both bookings so did that in the lounge without issue.

Why do you need to show any card? Just quote your Velocity FF number and presto you'll be allowed into lounge.

This may not be the case for @LetsJustGo, but others may wish to do such.
