Mind, the fact they were banned can't have amounted to really much for them except some fame and/or notoriety.

As if they were missing out on so much when the "ban" was in place. So putting them back is similarly no big deal, but of course they'll milk it for all its worth, even from a purely principled point of view.
 
Personally glad they have cut back on printed newspapers in the lounges.

Nothing worse than have a neighbouring passenger bring one on board and then encroach into your space as they struggle to fold/unfold a broadsheet or even smaller paper.

If you want to red news onboard do it in digital form.

That's another classic. I like this line:

Remember, Joyce (with his brother’s help) designed the algorithm for overbooking flights at Aer Lingus 30 years ago on the basis that a percentage of passengers never turn up.
