Good comment. Note Cathay offer payment options in either HK$ or AUD$. I select AUD because I want to know I'll get my dosh back without currency variation in the event of cancellation.

I note that the transaction (now posted) has something like CHEMISTWAREHOUSE_GIFT as the merchant so it mightn't be recognised as the "right" merchant. If that is true, I am curious whether it would work if you bought a gift card plus something else in a single transaction.

I noticed it said ex-AU only as well. I wonder if you can book ex-Non-AU but still pay in AUD?

I am pleased to report that a Chemist Warehouse digital gift card, bought from the main CW website, paid out the Amex Offer. I purchased a $150 gift card two days ago, it was posted yesterday, and the $15 credit posted today.
