No points awarded for business class Qatar codeshare flight from KUL to DOH

I recently flew KUL to FRA via DOH. The KUL to DOH was booked through Qatar and flown by MH. I know an article was written a while ago about QF slashing points flown on a MH aircraft, but I was not awarded any FF or status points and my statement quoted “ineligible flight”. When did this start happening and has anyone else come across this?

Surprised this is possible - what fare class did it book into? Was it an outright business booking or an upgrade?

Every booking class shown on the Qatar website also appears as eligible in the Qantas earn categories table.

And the QR/MH codeshares on KUL-DOH only show business inventory in those same JCDIRP.

I booked business direct with Qatar. What is your suggestion? Can I challenge this?

To answer that, "business direct with Qatar" does not provide enough information

We need to know the "Fare Bucket".

That is a single alphabetic character. For example, D.

Where would I find the fare bucket, it doesn’t appear on the app under my booking?
 
To confirm, you flew on a QR flight number such as QR4990 or QR4992 and your ticket does not show a MH flight number?

If this is the case, then Qantas denying you points is in error. You should've earned 4,250 Points and 100 SCs.

Best way to resolve this is to email [email protected] with a copy of your ticket (showing "R" fare class) and boarding pass (which may or may not also show "R" fare class) noting that "R" is an eligible fare class for Qatar Airways on QFF.

It was QR4990. Attach is my QF Activity for that flight

I’ve looked at my boarding pass and it shows an MH flight number.

The claim you made for missing Qantas Points submitted on 21-Sep-2024 has been processed but was UNSUCCESSFUL - NO MATCH ON BOOKING NAME OR FLIGHT.

Any suggestions? I definitely flew that sector.

It posted to your account automatically, albeit with zero points/SCs so that response is obviously incorrect.

I suspect there’s a coding error in the QF system that doesn’t recognise the MH operated flight with the QR flight number (I could be wrong) but as above, email QFF with e-Ticket and BP. Accompanied by a short and succinct message stating that the flight was incorrectly recorded against your FF account with zero points and SCs when it should have posted as an elegible QR marketed / MH operated flight.
 
After contacting QF FF, firstly by phone and then supplying the eticket and boarding passes, I was finally credited the points and SC credits. I would like to thank everyone who provided advice.
