Anybody else on the countdown to vacation? 8 days of work until I'm off for almost a month - after the year it's been, I'm hanging out to get away from the phones and the sales targets and the organisational restructuring.

Just booked Tokyo Disney Sea Hotel Mira Costa, hotel in Akihabara and a nice hot spring resort in Nagano for January - I'ma go see the snow monkeys!!!

Well, not really. I've been on vacation since November 1, and counting down the days left I return to work next Wednesday.

In saying that, we have a compulsory university-wide break between Christmas Eve and New Years Day inclusive, which is just over a week after I get back. You can probably guess how productive that week and a bit before the Christmas break will be

A very productive day for me today. Wake up early, get on 0530 flight, land at 0815 in CBR.

All day project work finishes at 1100 so back to the airport for an earlier flight home..... Nope my company has booked me on a DJ go fare for the 1735.

Looks like I have 6 or so hours in the CBR lounge!

I really need NM's perspective on things in life, but here's my take:

I'm sure somewhere in the world there is a flat called "Earth", therefore the "Earth" could be a "flat".

There is also probably a pub called "Earth" somewhere in the world, and during the night, several patrons will experience a spinning sensation. Their world will spin around and around.

So therefore Earth can be both flat and round.

That's my lame explanation for the moment.
