Technically, would that be an anti-AFF offroad trip? We could always drive to ASP and then do a JASA to make up for it.

That's about on par with CX regional J runs. Not sure which one is more "run friendly", i.e. positioning, hotels (or ability to avoid them).

YUPP runs still have the distinction of being able to earn near 800 SCs or so in a very short amount of time. Only problem is positioning really.

Even 1¼ woudn't replace "instant Upgrade" as they currently are. These days QFF points are important for status as well.

After dealing with AirNZ and the continual reduction in point earning the MH earning for QF does not surprise in the least.

Points are a bit meh, considering you can score 15-20000 for $500 with epiqure, I dont place too much value on them if cheap SC are offer.

Personally I am not really a fan of Valentines Day, but sent a few SMSes late in the day to remind people I still have a pulse.

I recieved two unprompted Valentines Day wishes, one from my ex-wife who is about to be remarried in ~6 weeks, and one from a work colleague which I am sure was in jest.

They are very short flights; with no minimum points guarantee I thought that was a given.

Mind you, CX regional runs don't generate huge amounts of points either. AA is about the same as Australian domestic, since they accumulate with a F cabin bonus (or J when you go Caribbean).

QF points are important for status in as so far as they can be used for ASAs. Apart from that and just any old other award flights or upgrades, it's very much secondary to a status run.

You haven't been a member through Airpoints continual reductions in earn.:evil: (Once Oz-Lax would earn 85 Airpoints in discount economy, it's now around 20 for same trip)

16K QFF points can earn 100 SC's, so every drip helps.

Your basic West coat USA - Caribbean YUPP r/t for a WP garners from 20K points.

My chickens wouldn't touch the stuff…although they are quite partial to fresh grapes. To the best of my knowledge they are not Epiqure members (hand on heart).

Not that I know of - AFAIK they don't really "Send them" - one day you find the renewal documentation in the PO Box itself.
