Yes, that's Fair Work Australia in action. Although being under 15 people we have a little bit of room to move. As always, there are bad bosses and they abuse the workers, that has to be acknowledged. The pendulum goes to and fro. It's very much based on the employee at the moment. I am still cross about it - hairdresser indeed.

The only time she has stayed after close off time, was when she was departing on leave the next work day. Other than that, I can't really think of anything else.

I know where you're coming from and my PAs (jobshare) do work out of their hours but if they want to do something like this (long lunch or something) - they check first and ensure their jobs are done. I have no issues with going to the RTA or hair appointments or long lunches or working from home as long as the work is done and people who rely on you know what is going on. My PAs do an awesome job and I have no issue with them taking time but they do not abuse the relationship.

Ridiculous. I call into our office mid morning to speak to our EA and because the bosses are interstate she is at the hairdresser. Really? At 10 am on a working day? To make it worse she hadn't organised any of the appointments she was supposed to. Sheesh.

Yes. Definitely. She hasn't advised any of the 'significant people' she was doing it and had left work undone. We travel a lot and leave them unsupervised and it leaves me wondering if this has been a long time rort. Normally they wouldn't receive phone calls from me at that time.

Yeah, I was just trying to gauge the situation. I've mostly known EAs that do what's required to get the job done. I'm also spoilt by having a boss that doesn't seem to care when I turn up as long as I get the job done.

ABC 24 is now reporting it. They have named him but everybody is still nervous to name the one who can't be named but was named.

Media has no confirmation but it looks like Rolf Harris will be having a tough time.

Basically it can be condensed to one sentence. Rolf Harris has been named as the entertainer arrested in the UK for alleged sex abuse.

Under a red banner that screamed ''World Exclusive'', British tabloid The Sun named Harris as having been arrested over sex abuse allegations on March 28, two days before his 83rd birthday. Harris has not been charged, and is understood to vehemently deny any wrongdoing.

What is it with Australia Post?

I went in to get my signature witnessed 'anyone over the age of 18' on the lease documents for my new car and was told they don't do that. If I want an official Australia Post employee signature they can stamp it for $3.95 each. I want 8 signatures so that would have been $31.60.

That's bull$hit

I went to the newsagent and two minutes later was done. I then spent $20 with them on magazines. Much better value.

That is pretty ridiculous IMHO.

One of the good things about working in a *cough* "professional" environment is that there are CAs/CPAs/etc wandering around everywhere who can witness documents in exchange for distracting them from their work
