Gotta look on the bright side, JohnK - the hello is the good bit - there wouldn't be a goodbye if there'd been no hello…
And then there's the anticipation for the next time you can say hello.

The hello lasted less than 4 days.

The goodbye will last 10 weeks!

I noticed the change of handle earlier and thought I was seeing things. Just as well....

But I was when the name was born...and for another 4 years after that. Then it took me a while to recover from the demotion and found a different type of grass on the other side of the fence, plus with the apparent demise of xASA's it is exceedingly unlikely that after 28 March 2015 I will be SG with QF...or be able to maintain VA's Plat after 10 January 2015.

No matter how I looked at trying to come up with a name which involved QF and VA, there was just no easy answer...apart from using my current FT handle

Oh how I love bathroom renovations in old English homes. Just ripping the tiles off the wall only to discover there's another layer of tiles underneath.......

Just like the normal walls in a lot of houses, often multiple layers of wallpaper (and multiple layers of paint on that!).

Yep, whole house is like that. Pretty common here. Some rooms are better than other... my office has a bit of a patterned wallpaper. If I was going to be staying here 10+ years I'd probably spend the money to rip it all off and re-plaster, but not really worth doing.

My old bathroom had tiles over tiles, and that's in Australia! Discovered it when a section came loose and tumbled into the tub while I was in the shower...:shock:
