VIE (Vienna) - best way to get there on CX

CX does not fly to VIE

Where is the next best option to fly into followed by a rail / air trip to VIE ?

? FRA

? MXP

or ??? CDG, LHR

And the reasons for your thoughts please

I'd like to fly CX on this occasion.

From the connecting airport, I could use either OW or * Alliance points.

I would suggest CX to FRA then HG to VIE. Both are oneworld so CX should interline the baggage straight through from HKG. The HG flight departs ~3 hours after CX arrives at FRA so plenty of time to freshen up. Also involves less backtracking than LHR, and I don't fancy a layover in MXP or CDG..

I'm also open to * Alliance redemption (via SQ) as well.

Thinking of LH connection from FRA to VIE; No interline baggage there I know. But that is not a deal breaker.

If I were to use EK, I might as well go SYD DXB VIE.. but I want to sample The Chairman again and spend the night(s) in HKG.

I was only thinking of sampling CX F from HKG [bucket list item]

Is LH F equal to the task ( i.e. dream) ??

Is there F cabin on that LH route ?

I read somewhere that LH F is not available for * Alliance redemption. Is that correct ?

If so, I'd have to stay with CX then.

You can use *A points and fly BR TPE-VIE, that's what I am doing in three weeks time
