I think the topic basically says it all ... is it a standard thing for all airlines to be changing In Flight Entertainment on the first of a month; or do some change it more often than that?
Flying China Airlines again tomorrow, last time was the start of the same month (& I’m expecting the...
So having reached life silver in six years of work travel I didn't have high hopes for the "perks", so when I was approached by a crew member after take off (SYD->PER) I thought, maybe I get a little pat on the head for my milestone? Not so, I was accused of filming the safety demonstration...
Just wondering if you are LTS which I am not far off, then do you only require 400 SC points to earn gold and 300 to maintain or do qantas make you earn 700 to get it and 600 to keep as per normal?
I just got off a return trip SYD - OOL and the in flight entertainment on the app was woeful! The amount of content is drastically less than before, the quality was also lacking and there was almost no TV shows at all which are much better for a short flight when you can't fit a 2 hour movie in...
Hi there all,
I just want to gauge what our members feel is correct compensation for a certain shortfall in service. I recently suffered the following: Cash Premium Economy ticket on QF longhaul. 12 hr flight. I am P1. My IFE system did not work for entire flight. Full flight so option of...
Flew QF BNE-PER on a J award fare.
Seat back IFE was down for the entire flight, but the Q streaming was operational for BYO devices in J.
It meant I couldn’t do my planned work and ‘be entertained’ at the same time.
I know, first world problem... but it did give a less than overwhelming...
And I don't care, but let's tell the story.
When checking in at the Airport Express station this afternoon I was asked to change my route home, I booked HKG-BNE-MEL, It will give me exactly enough SCs (with the HKG 50% extra SCs) to retain WP for another year.
I refused to change the routing...
Hi Everyone,
I'm a new member and frequent flier. I'm doing a bit of market research and wondering how many fellow travellers flock through the inflight magazine? If something interested you in the magazine, what is the best way to engage you/ get you to follow up? We are considering...
I've just completed a European holiday, flying
MEL - MAN SQ J
and
DUB - MEL EY J
Approx 20 hours each way (airborne) - so I spent a total of almost a two days in the air!
AND I didn't use the IFE on ANY leg!!
(well, that's a little lie because actually I watched one and a half episodes of...
Flew the wifi enabled 738 on Wednesday PER-BNE, no announcements made on availability, but a timely article by AusBT had drawn my attention to it.
Flight was pretty full, and being entertainment via wifi anyway, a lot of people with connected devices would have realised wifi was running as...
A quick heads-up: while Qantas planned to flick the switch on its Qantas WiFi service this coming week to allow public access to the inflight Internet service (admittedly only on the one Boeing 737 suitably kitted up, that being VH-XZB) and kick things off with a special charter flight for media...
On a set of flights from SYD to ASP followed by a DRW to SYD. Both B737-800.
Anyone know if its byod Q entertainment or Q iPads?
Ive done a bunch lf SYD BNE or SYD MEL with no ipads.and had to use my small phone screen. Shame you can't use laptops for Q Streaming.
I love those "Skyview" cameras mounted on the tail or under the fuselage that give - via the entertainment screen - a look at the plane in flight or the terrain below that is a lot wider than peering through a porthole. The Emirates A380 has three of these things going, and on takeoff or final...
Air Asia X has rolled out a new series of tablets, and they are now complimentary with with their Premium Flatbed product.
Flights to/from Australia get them first.
Comp for premium or MYR49/A$15 for back of the 330.
Looks like a 10.1" FullHD Huawei mediapad M2 unit.
Xcite Inflight...
Just in: Virgin Australia will begin rollout of inflight Internet on domestic and international flights from 'mid-2017' across the B738, A332 and B777 fleets.
Virgin Australia to launch inflight Internet on domestic, international flights - Australian Business Traveller
I am travelling in J on a 717 to MEL-HBA tomorrow and then HBA-SYD on Sunday.
I have had an email suggesting installing the QF Entertainment app (I'm Android, Mrs jaybeedee is an old iphone).
I like the idea of a play list that I can pick up again on my next flight, but I hate disappointing...
As an avid aisle seat selector I have been caught out numerous times by the under-seat AVOD units that are on the various aircraft.
When I look on Seatguru (SeatGuru Seat Map Qantas Airbus A330-300 (333) V2) I dont see any mention of the units.
I know that I have been sitting in A330 - Y...
