A380 premium economy seat choice

Am on QF12 LAX - SYD in Y+ on 23/10, and secured the exit row aisle 24 B. I can see on expert flyer, however, that seat 26 D is free, with E blocked and F occupied. So another option is to take 26d. Which is better, unlimited legroom and an unknown seat mate, or an empty seat next door and a reclining seat in front?

I am also not sure if a blocked seat in EF is any guarantee it will stay that way?

Unlimited legroom!

Once the lights are dimmed you can put a standard sized rolla-board in front of you and rest your feet on it for a horizontal leg-rest - much more comfortable than anything else.

Recline is substantial on PE seats, sitting behind a reclined seat is no joy. The seats are sufficiently apart (wide armrest) that you don't have to get cosy with your neighbour, and as you say, if the cabin fills up, a 'blocked seat' may not materialise. If that happens, you'll have to stand up every time your neighbour wants to get up to stretch their legs or use the WC.

My thought as well, thanks for confirming. Fingers crossed my upgrade to J may still come through.
