access denied

Hey, is anyone else getting access denied messages when trying to view this forum. If I go back to the http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community url it seems OK again for a bit. It seems that there some timeout value or cookie issue? Not sure if its just me but I have tried a few different browser's and a few different computers but its the same.

if im using my Ipad or iPhone (the app) I need to re boot the device before trying to post, it says i am not logged in or not entitled to post..... I'm getting a bit peeved TBH

Just here again, if I get an email saying someone has responded to my thread, the link just brings me to a blank page with 'Access Denied' written. Perhaps it has something to do with my accounts which is linked to facebook? Even though I am sure if I log out the same issue occurs.

Me too quite often.
Very annoying after you have spent some time typing a post to find you can't post it. :evil:
Most of the time I don't bother typing the post again, I just give up.

This is happening to me quite often over the last two weeks, and only on the app. I thought it was because I was on a satellite connection and was automatically being logged out after two hours of inactivity. Apparently not!

I assume you are using the browser version not the App.

Looks like you are not logged in when trying to access that page. AFF limits the number of pages a "visitor" (or someone who is not logged in) can see, so they need to login. They get an "Access Denied" message until they login.

I pretty much only use the app and regularly have issues with being logged out even though the app says I am logged in.

I'm not having the issue, but suggest on every / any site when you are typing just before clicking the post / submit / send button, copy what you have written using Ctrl A to select all, then Ctrl C to copy. If no problem just forget it, but if there was a problem open a new dialogue and Ctrl V to paste in what you saved.
If ongoing issues and you really want to keep what you have written for later, open a new email message and Ctrl V there, then save the email in drafts.

Hi admin, a number of people in this thread, myself included, have noted a problem with the app. In fact it has happened to me this session already.

While you may have identified the issue for the OP, please also consider that several others are reporting this problem on the app.

On Android, generally you can copy all by holding down your finger on the text until it highlights the word. Press the "select all" icon and then tbe "copy" icon.

The iPad and iPhone have a similar facility

I still get the access denied message when using the app on both my iPhone and iPad. I rarely use the online log in and mainly use the app. Ironically it just happened when I tried to post on this thread, after posting quite a few times already tonight on other threads, the message is I was not logged in, but I was. This is my third go to post this message.

Yeah I get the same. I have got in to the habit of actually closing the app. I.e on the iPhone double clicking the home button and swiping up. Doing this after each browsing session seems to work. Annoying when I forget to though and get the dreaded message!
