Bali: Westin Nusa Dua vs Le Meridien Jimbaran

Hi everyone,


Am planning a short getaway to Bali of two nights and within the SPG portfolio was looking at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua and Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran. The rates are quite competitive (I think) at USD126-144. Would appreciate any reviews/comments from members who've stayed at either hotel.


Unfortunately my budget doesn't quite extend to the W Seminyak, which I understand from friends to be better.

I haven't personally stayed at The Westin in Nusa Dua but have friends whom rave about it..
One I have stayed at that I think is SPG is The Laguna in Nusa Dua, can 100% recommend that one !

The Laguna and Weston are next door to each other and share all facilities. Obama stayed at the Westin a couple of years back IIRC. I like the Laguna a lot, it's an LC hotel so in theory a bit more upscale. Nothing around the area of Nusa Dua if you want actual culture or to eat outside of the hotel in cheap or Seminyak restaurants.

Yes. Loads more. But it depends on what you want to do, too. The bulk of the better resorts are in Nusa Dua and the beach is basically a stretch of resorts. There are some mid-range restaurants in a rather sterile shopping centre.

The big name restaurants are mostly in Seminyak and there is more happening there (I.e. More began Aussies.)

When I go to Bali it is to sit by a pool for 3-4 days, catch up on my journals and just relax so I'm happy to stay in Nusa Dua and just venture out to Seminyak for dinner if I really feel the need.
