We're retired so number of days for a journey isn't important and my wife hates really long flight so Matt's approach is very much what we do. Because the BNE-HNL flights have been discontinued, we even flew to the USA via SIN, DOH and DUB. I noticed his comment about not being loyal to one airline and decided to tot up how many airlines I've flown - 98!. No wonder I've never got past Gold with any of them and am now a lowly Silver just with VA.
