Claiming insurance for AirBNB

Has anyone claimed for Airbnb cancellation due to medical reason or miss connection or anything?
would they approve the following scenario?
Booking is paid and made under 1 persons name. That person is injured and couldn't go on the trip due to medical reason.
can he claim for the airbnb even if the place was booked for 8 people?
Or will the insurance company calculate it and only pay for his part of the accommodation.

Yes, a group of four might still go and use the airbnb.
Otherwise I guess they can find a new place.

I think you will need to clarify the adjusted booking with the host-may depend on the rules of the host if they will even let the 4 stay under the original name. If the stay happens what would the original person be claiming for?
