As luck would have it despite it being Monday decided to try some.
I’m not great at describing but for a little under the $10 eminently drinkable and .certainly not offensive in terms of flavour or alcohol burn / and not unbalanced. A fruit bomb but perhaps a little touch of sweetness for Shiraz?
Of course my tastebuds are different to everyone else’s!
Would definitely order it again.

I purchased only a few weeks ago
Cellar Door have an offer on select Seppelt wines for spend $275 or more and bag a free 2018 Seppelt St Peters.
Claiming a sale on their Seppelt products but the prices are pretty much the usual levels e.g. Chalambar at $18, Drumborg Pinot Noir at $31, St Peters at $55.
Still... with the wine being $55 on the site it basically works out to about a 20% bonus on the spend. For example you could buy 5 bottles of the 2018 St Peters and get the freebie, averaging the 6 pack down to $45.83.

Interestingly, the chalambar has long been a cellar stocker for me when its been available around $15 a bottle, and i still have a few dozen from between 2015-2017. Always used to get decent reviews published around the 93-96 point range from CM and JH etc. but last couple of vintages don't really seem to have reviews floating round? Anybody got any thoughts on recent vintages from 2018 and beyond, and why the reviews have stopped rolling through? Change in winemaker or quality of any note?

I am really enjoying the 2021 vintage. Cool climate dark brambly fruit that should cellar for decades. JH gave it 93.
