The Red Heeler that was at Eifel last time was missing, owners were there, dog was happily at home staying cool. This from last time, they have a small farm with cattle, so it is a working dog.



probably my favourite from any rally was this Czechoslovakian Wolfhound in Sardinia, he is an Italian champion, beautiful (Max, close your ears!) He got up to watch the cars go by. Didn't make a sound.

At the Curly World Seminar in Sweden this week

Curly Coated Retrievers or Curlies for short.

They are the oldest and the largest retriever breed, originating from the UK.

They are independent, stubborn, intelligent and loyal.. they are good guard dogs and their emotional intelligence suits them well to families with autism related issues.

I breed them, live with them, love them and travel around the world looking at them

That’s very interesting I had to look them up. They have straight hair on their face and the rest of them looks like an astrakhan coat. Do they need clipping, do they shed?

Glad you are interested

They don't need clipping but they do shed (only a single coat though so not as much as a golden or a lab).. you should scissor them behind the ears to prevent matting.

Don't brush them or you end up with an afro lol

Yep.. they have straight hair on their faces and legs and come in black or liver (marketing department was working for Labradors that day so they got chocolate )

Great lap dog and an angel until she sees other big dogs then the devil comes out with non stop barking.

6yr old theodore maltese cross (who has appeared here previously) was at the park on friday. Climbed up on picnic table via the seat while mum having coffee. After getting up to leave instead of climbing down via seat, Ted decides to launch himself straight off the table onto the concrete. A sharp yelp indicated all was not well and the bite I got when reaching down to him confirmed this. Had then gather him up and take vet with everyone in shock. Shock turned to utter disbelief when vet said it would be 1400 upfront to knock him out for 15 mins and take xray....including the pre knock out blood test. Xray confirmed no broken bones but she could tell his has done his ligament which will cost around $5k ..... Think we need second opinion before forking out the $$$$$, meanwhile Ted is on children's cherry panadol and sedative. He is getting used to being a tripod but has a constant crazed hippy look on his face...

Had a huge curly until NYE - dies at 10.5yrs. 63kg and lean - got a giant. Your description is spot on - add 'leaners' though. Love to lean against you when they can. This is our old boy next to our 50kg BM

No to clipping, yes to shedding. Nothing escapes it!

This is Benji, my Melbourne lockdown rescue Jack Russell. He's almost 14 and is my best friend!

Ted had his TPLO surgery last Thursday and is in recovery. Has been spaced out since op. No bandages surprisingly but has his fentanyl patch and antibiotics etc. Seeing vet on Monday for follow up. Doesn't like his Elizabethan collar so wearing his granddad's soft neck brace!...working ok. About 8 weeks until he will be able to chase magpies again. Doesn't really know what's going on but he's such a brave boy.
