I was invited to one about 3 or so years ago. It was at a store that I popped into between the train and the car. Definitely not the store I spent most $ at.

It was in the staff room, hosted by a market research person, and the store manager and area manager also attended. Was focussed on the store- appearance, stock, staff etc. One other person and I mentioned EDR but it definitely wasn't a focus point of the session.

That's the one I got. My usual sydney woolies. Packed full of eastern suburbs ladies. 3 or 4 feeding off each other. One of them actually said something like "I want to feel like I'm in a market in Paris. I was raised in New York I'm just to lovely fresh food on display". Almost died when I heard that come out. They were more concerned with the layout of fruit and vege than with the freshness.

I got pretty annoyed when the suggested having a hot prepared meals section and the other ladies said it was a rubbish idea. I stay in a hotel normally being able to grab a cheap cook meal, not a hot chicken, was my ideally option. There was also a pick your toppings pizza idea, but couldn't find out if it was cooked or not due to the cries of no by the gaggle of double bay escapees.

Friskies look like they are really trying to promote their products at the moment, using the free sample technique. I'm guessing this promotion is a joint venture between Friskies and Woolworths. They appear to be doing a similar thing with Coles and Flybuys as there is a competition where you can win 1 of 2000 1kg bags of Friskies.

I got this too. Code was SPIN2. Used it in conjunction with the spend $75, receive 500 QFF.

Unfortunately, the website is AWFUL. Both Chrome and IE would not let me checkout. Calling was tedious - the basket decided to change, so had to read everything out to the operator. Definitely not an experience I would repeat, if I didn't have the two deals. No wonder Woolies is having financial problems - it's so difficult to give them money on their own website!

I just don't get the 'activate' thing. Why can't they just make us the offer and then we either meet the spending hurdle or we don't? It just adds another point of failure to the system. If we need to activate, the least they can do is send us an email confirmation or have a webpage where we can see what offers we have activated. The current system is very sloppy and prone to generating unnecessary arguments with clients. No wonder Grant O'Brien is stepping down. The new CEO needs to fix this sort of nonsense.

Looks like I won't be getting the 250 bonus points for the second $35 spend either, since the bonus points for the following week's offer (boring old double points) have since appeared. ie; That's 500 missing points, since I started tracking them.

For anybody who's still going to bother with EDR offers (I'm not), I'd suggest that you keep the e-mails and a screenshot of the activation. Not keeping the latter was my downfall.

Their "system" also does a coughpy job of keeping track of the 4¢ per litre fuel discounts, but at least that one works in my favour.
