Hi Virgin experts. I have an economy Getaway flight coming up and I am thinking of putting in a bid for an upgrade to J class.
My question is will I still receive my recognition for a eligible sector. I need 1 flight for a status change from Silver to Gold so don't want to risk missing out by doing an upgrade and being deemed ineligible
 
Yes, you will get SC and sector rec for original booking.

We only buy Y and then upgrade to J and get sector recognition.

Ok great, thanks. Not too worried about SC's as I have heaps, but as I said need 1 flight for the status change
