Boomy (and others), what is the best seat in The Apartment? What about F on 777?
On A380 any forward facing apartment is good. On B777 K side is better as the toilets are located in front of A side.

I had no idea there was rear facing seats - so I had a bo-peep:Is there an issue with the rear facing ones?

Crikey I hate herringbone seats cause I am not facing straight forward - no way I could tolerate those 'cough about' things! Dead set - you really sit there facing opposite direction to flight direction? Seriously?

They are all yours MEL. Would love to hear the views of others - facing opposite direction to plane travel acceptable to others?Much safer in the event of an emergency. I'd take a rear facing seat in a heartbeat if they are offered.

Well yes, they don't face forward
I've tried rear facing on BA J, it was terrible, never again!
I flew 3K (backwards facing) and didn't have a worry in the world! The only relevant times are on take-off and landing - the forces are different from what you are used to, but so what? During the 90% that's cruise, when you are in an apartment, you can't really tell the way you face, especially with the window shades down. Have another Champagne and think of ... well, whatever floats your boat![]()
The bed is at 90 degrees to the direction of travel. No forces during cruise, so again, no effect on me lying there.
I've also flown BA reverse herringbone J and it also didn't worry me.
You guys often select your seats based on your expectation of a major incident?
You have already informed us you sleep all the way in your bed so in this instance rear facing seat not much help to you MEL - best you don't choose those apts with back facing seats you'd be scooted out of bed me thinks MEL.Much safer in the event of an emergency. I'd take a rear facing seat in a heartbeat if they are offered.

I had been meaning to ask boomy about the landscape bedding concept - that would worry me also. Fully understand I am a slice short of a full loaf but I was born into the bus industry with hundreds vehicles with standard seating layout - anything off full front facing I have serious trouble with.
Unlike bc I cannot sit backwards on a train / tram for 2 mins - I would prefer to stand.
