Fiji Airways Seat Selection when you are flying as Qantas Codeshare Pax

My family and I are flying to Fiji next month on a Fiji Airways flight ex CBR, but QF Flight number booked through a package holiday provider. I've tried selecting seats through the Fiji Airways website, and there are bucketloads there, but I keep getting error messages once I have selected the seats. Is this normal? I've flown Fiji on a non-codeshare flight in the past with no issues, so am wondering if the fact this is a QF booking is causing the issues.

Qantas and Fiji Airways both use the same GDS (Amadeus), so I would expect the PNR to be the same. As you indicate, there appears to be no issue bringing the FJ manage booking up as you can choose seats but not successfully complete the process.

I suspect the codeshare is the issue.

The package holiday provider is your agent in this case; have you tried contacting them?

Just send them an email to allocate seats XTZ. If they don't or can't, go direct in the future. A good agent is great. Unfortunately, not all are good.

I did this earlier this year. I had to call Fiji airways to book the seats.

Have you tried another OW website (rj.com is usually my first go to or MH)

BA.com (MMB) - can otherwise be useful if there’s second PNR involved (it should show the 2nd PNR to use on FJ.com).

Calling ought to work as suggested. You just won’t get a visual of the seatmap.

I recently successfully selected on RJ website for QF award bookings on FJ.
No luck on FJ website either....
